Professional Play:
Professional bridge players provide many services to less experienced players that are looking to learn more about bridge and improve their bridge play.  This page contains information about the services that I and other professional players provide.

Professional Partnership Play:
I play as a professional partner at many levels of play, from club to national competitions.

Professional partnership play (also called Pro-client) is most often used to help players learn and improve.  Clients (or students) usually play with me on a regular basis (weekly, biweekly, or monthly.)  This time playing bridge together provides a great opportunity to discuss new conventions, defensive situations, and general bridge judgment.  The learning curve from this type of play is much faster than lessons can provide.  It gives me an opportunity to see what the student most needs to work on and how they can best spend their time in order to improve.  Players then go and practice what we discuss with their regular partners.

I also play as a professional partner in order to help players win masterpoints.  Long term teaching and improving is a less a part of this type of play, but players still benefit from experience and discussion.

Professional Teammates:
In a team event, players often hire other strong partnerships to play as there teammates.  I am available to play with one of my regular partners in this fashion.

Coaching and Lessons:
Another common part of bridge education are lessons.  I provide group and individual lessons covering a variety of topics and levels of play.  I also provide coaching (and lessons) to partnerships.  This is often a very useful way to facilitate communication and improve your partnership.   In these discussions with partnerships I help with individual players strengths and weaknesses as well as improving the partnership system and agreements.

Other Professional Players:
If you are looking for other professional players (in your area) you can contact me and I will likely be able to help locate someone to help with the type of instruction you are looking for.
